The British brand Penhaligon's has a rich history. Its beginnings date back to 1870, when William Penhaligon opened a barber shop in London and began offering visitors his own cosmetics. The brand's perfume debut took place in 1872, from that moment the fame of the trademark spread throughout the country. After World War II, the company experienced a drop in demand and a stop in production. In 1975, the Penhaligon's perfume brand was reborn thanks to the efforts of businesswoman Sheila Pickles. Many recipes had to be restored, however, today the company can offer more than 100 high-quality niche fragrances. Penhaligon's A Balm Of Calm Eau de Parfum was released in 2023 as part of the Potions and Remedies collection. The author of the new product, designed in the style of old apothecary products, was the modern perfumer Juliette Karaguezoglu. The name of the perfume translates as "Balm of Calm", and it really does calm, set you in a positive mood, and give you the happiness of being yourself. The soothing rhythms of the composition are associated with the natural ingredients that make up its composition. The beginning of the aroma softens the spiritual ardor with notes of lavender, spicy cardamom and tart clary sage. The middle of the olfactory pyramid exudes subtle scents of geranium, delicate iris and strong rum. The base notes sound woody tones of sandalwood, oak and vetiver.
