Interlude Black Iris Man is a new stylish and multifaceted woody-spicy oriental fragrance for men, created in 2020 by perfumer Pierre Negrin for the Omani luxury brand Amouage. This long-awaited sequel to the popular 2012 composition Interlude Man is a more refined version, softened with notes of violet and iris. The fragrance pyramid opens with citrusy notes of bergamot, spicy rosemary, and fresh green violet leaves. The heart features accords of amber, the "hot" resin of labdanum, obilanum, and myrrh, softened by the subtle spicy-powdery scent of iris and the refined sweetness of vanilla. The fragrance concludes with a rich woody trail of leather accents, smoky oud, patchouli, sandalwood, and white cedar. The perfume is housed in a luxurious dark blue rectangular bottle, the cap of which is decorated with a Swarovski sapphire crystal.
