List of products by brand LOUIS VUITTON
Louis Vuitton is one of the oldest fashion houses in France, founded in 1854 by the master trunk maker Louis Vuitton. The founder's son Georges, who headed the brand from 1892 to 1936, brought the company to the international level. It was he who in 1896 approved the now legendary monogram with flowers, diamonds and the letters LV, opened stores around the world (including the famous boutique on the Champs Elysees in Paris in 1914) and expanded the brand's product range by introducing bags and perfumes. The first Louis Vuitton fragrance was released in 1925 - it was given the symbolic name Sur La Route ("On the Road"). At the same time, the conditional beginning of the brand's perfume history was laid two years earlier by the release of a travel case with four crystal bottles called Editions d'Art. It was assumed that the owner would fill them with his favorite perfume himself. In 1927, the brand released the composition Heures d'Absence ("Hours of Absence"), in 1928 - a set of three fragrances Je ("I"), Tu ("You"), Il ("He"). The latter was specially designed for traveling: miniature bottles had holes with which they were attached one above the other on a special glass structure. In 1930, Eau de Voyage ("Water of Travel") was released, and in 1946 - Réminiscences ("Memories"). Then came a period of perfume silence, which lasted for decades. An attempt to break the silence was made in 1980, when the brand re-released the last two compositions in a limited edition. In 1987, a significant event for the development of the brand occurred: the merger with the Moët Hennessy company into the LVMH concern. And exactly 10 years later, in 1997, a new era in the fashion history of Louis Vuitton began: Marc Jacobs took over the post of creative director of the brand, adding prêt-a-porter clothing, footwear and accessories to the range for the first time in the company's history. Almost two decades later, in 2016, a new chapter began in the brand's perfume biography. Jacques Cavallier-Belltrud, winner of the Prix Francois Coty award, was invited to the post of leading perfumer, and their own laboratory was located in his hometown of Grasse, in the Les Fontaines Parfumées estate. After a large-scale restoration, the Christian Dior laboratory was also located there, in the 17th-century estate. The brand's debut line included 7 women's fragrances: Contre Moi, Matiére Noire, Turbulences, Apogée, Dans La Peau, Mille Feux and Rose Des Vents. The face of its advertising campaign is actress Léa Seydoux, and the author of the laconic design of the bottles, stylized as pharmacy bottles with a tightly ground stopper, is Australian designer Marc Newson. The range includes bottles of 100 and 200 ml, as well as travel sets (a 7.5-milliliter atomizer and four replaceable blocks with a selected aroma). Special travel cases were developed for the bottles in several design options with a signature lock that has decorated Louis Vuitton suitcases since 1890. The brand's collection also includes a bottler (perfume chest) in the style of the 20s with compartments for three 100-milliliter bottles. In 2017, the brand's boutiques introduced a service for refilling empty bottles using special devices that guarantee tightness. A year later, the brand presented a series of five fragrances for men (L'Immensité, Sur la Route, Nouveau Monde, Orage, Au Hasard), two fragrances for women (Attrape-Rêves and Le Jour se Lève), as well as a unisex composition with oud in the leading role: Ombre Nomade. In 2019, the brand held a number of premieres. The face of Coeur Battant was actress Emma Stone, and the Louvre was the backdrop for the advertising video. The brand included the new Les Sables Roses in the collection of the same name, dedicated to the East, including the Ombre Nomade fragrance released a year earlier. At the same time, the Les Colognes collection was released, consisting of three works inviting you to go on a journey through the expanses of California. In the following years, the brand will focus on developing existing lines and adding new series to its perfume portfolio.
