Founded in 2012, 12 Parfumeurs Francais, a Parisian brand, is comprised of 12 French perfumers. Confidential information about the creators is kept confidential, as is the technique used to create each fragrance. Currently, only three founders are known: Delphine Thierry, Alain Allionet, and Jean-Michel Bacarelli. Allionet began his career at Robertet, a leading manufacturer of fragrances and perfumes. Thierry founded her own company, Inspiration Libre, in 2007, where she worked for many years as a freelance perfumer. This emotional and original fragrance for both men and women was inspired by the beauty of Chantilly Castle, surrounded by a picturesque forest. The green notes are not specified, but master perfumers often use violet petal extract and the scent of freshly cut grass to convey them. A less traditional combination of greenery and woody, coniferous notes is considered less traditional, but Chantilly demonstrates a harmonious combination, making the perfume memorable and luxurious. The heart opens with a full-bodied accord of tart-sweet citrus. Lemon peel essential oil lends Chantilly's composition a fresh and dynamic feel. Sicilian mandarin, gently layered with aromatic bergamot, creates a long-lasting and alluring trail that lingers for up to 7-8 hours.
