The fragrance's name is derived from the initials of Matthew M. Williams, the creative director of Givenchy's men's and women's collections, who inspired the creation of this eau de parfum, which reflects the energy of his bold and elegant creations for the house.
After an initial hint of freshness, MMW quickly reveals its true heart: a modern composition of deep and complex woody notes. The fragrance opens with a palo santo accord, which means "sacred wood" in Spanish, opening to smoky notes with a spicy and balsamic warmth. These notes are combined with a sophisticated duet of cedar essences: pine-smoky Virginian cedar and powerful and mysterious Atlas cedar. The combination of palo santo and cedarwood is enriched with Haitian vetiver, Indian sandalwood and cardamom essence, as well as woody, floral and powdery notes.
