Gucci's The Garden of Alchemist fragrance line has expanded with the newest addition, Hortus Sanitatis (Latin for "Garden of Health"). The fragrance takes its name from one of the first natural science encyclopedias.
The Garden of Alchemist collection, developed by perfumer Alberto Morillas under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele, was inspired by the art of alchemy. The series, which consists of eau de parfum, eau de parfum, and aqua profumat ("fragrant waters"), is designed to create multi-layered compositions—by mixing them, a unique, personalized combination can be created. Built around a core ingredient that is iconic to the brand, the scent of each fragrance can be enhanced, muted, or blended with other fragrances in the luxurious collection.
At once noble and rugged, this new fragrance, possessing timeless elegance, combines papyrus and cedarwood, amber and smoky accords. Infused with strength and magnetism, hints of ginger enhance the fragrance's multifaceted character.
