Eau Moheli is a floral, woody, and musky unisex fragrance for men and women, created in 2013 by perfumer Olivier Pescheux for the iconic French brand Diptyque. The fragrance is inspired by the flowers of the exotic ylang-ylang plant, native to the Comoros Islands in the Indian Ocean. Never before had ylang-ylang flowers been used as a main note in perfumery. The fragrance transports us to the shores of the Indian Ocean, to an atmosphere of eternal summer and warmth. It evokes tropical rains, dense jungles, and the exotic plants growing there. The composition opens with light floral notes, the composition of which is not revealed. The heart reveals warm, sensual accords of ylang-ylang, patchouli, tart pink pepper, and ginger. The base notes conclude with accents of vetiver, delicate benzoin, and incense. The perfume comes in a transparent bottle with a label decorated with green shoots of ylang-ylang.
