Byredo Parfums Casablanca Lily (2019) is another addition to the exclusive line of evening fragrances launched by the masters of the Swedish niche house Byredo. In 2019, perfumers decided to present to the public several reissues of the original formulas presented in this collection earlier, and this oriental-floral bouquet was no exception. It is based on the perfume formula of the Casablanca fragrance, previously presented in the “Night Veils” line, and although some combinations of notes remained unchanged, the general character of the composition has still been modified. A luxurious series of festive unisex perfumes is dedicated to night flowers that bloom and smell fragrant only with the onset of darkness. Each of the paintings is built around one dominant chord of the floral family, however, the representatives of the collection are not quite mono-aromas in the form we are accustomed to. The aromatic pyramid of the mystical oriental scent Byredo Parfums Casablanca Lily (2019) is a thin translucent veil of notes expertly woven together, these are increased concentrations of components and penetrating, burning sensuality in all its glory. And although the name of the fragrance intrigues us with lily motifs, there is no traditional lily accord in the olfactory triangle, and the floral facet is built on the subtle melodic sound of Indian tuberose. Its quivering tenderness harmoniously contrasts with the sweet velvet of plum pulp, the tartness of cloves and the refined honey trail of the composition.
