The founder of the brand, Indian businessman Kul Rattan Chadha, exported clothes from India and the Far East to Holland in the 70s of the last century. The abbreviation combined the first letters of the two previous names: Moustache and Emanuelle, as well as the ending "XX", symbolizing two air kisses.
