Meo Fusciuni is an independent brand from Italy, founded by self-taught perfumer Giuseppe Imprezzabile and Federica Castellani, who is responsible for the brand's visual concept. Having studied chemistry at the University of Parma, Imprezzabile continued his studies in anthropology and ethnobotany, traveling to different countries, and in 2009 he began creating compositions on his own. Imprezzabile is the author of all the brand's fragrances; having no professional perfume background, he compares himself to a poet whose works primarily express the emotions of the creator. The brand debuted with the release of the Nota di Viaggio line, dedicated to travel. It includes three works inspired by Istanbul (1# nota di viaggio), Morocco (2# nota di viaggio) and Imprezzabile's homeland - Sicily (3# nota di viaggio). In 2012, Notturno was released - a fragrance about the beauty of the night, dedicated to five poets: Rilke, Hölderlin, Celan, Neruda and De La Cruz. The new product of 2013, Luce, is declared as the ideological opposite of Notturno - brighter and lighter, telling about the dawn of a new day and the awakening of nature. Both works are combined into the Cycle of Poetry line. 2014 brought the brand Narcotico - a rich oriental perfume, revealing incense, oud, patchouli, benzoin and tonka beans. The next to join the collection were Odor 93, L'Oblìo, Little Song and Spirito. The concentration of all the brand's works is parfum. In early autumn 2020, the creators presented the new product Varanasi, named after a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India. The fragrance was inspired by Imprezzabile's travels through South Asia. The composition opens with notes of incense, nutmeg, cardamom and saffron, as well as ambrette, nagarmotha, rose, ambergris and jasmine. The base includes gurjun balsam, leather, nard, oud and vetiver.
