The fashion niche brand Juliette Has A Gun was founded by the grandson of Robert Ricci and the great-grandson of Nina Ricci. The young man's name is Romano Ricci, and literally from infancy he was surrounded by an atmosphere of fashion, perfumery and beauty. Romano spent his childhood in his grandfather's factory.
"When I was ten years old, my grandfather opened the world of perfumery to me, told me how fragrances are born. I am grateful to him, because from an early age he helped me train my sense of smell, revealed to me all the wonders of perfumery. None of my later passions erased from my memory these magical lessons from my childhood," says Romano Ricci. Proud of his family's heritage, he wanted to prove to the whole world and to himself that he too can create something special and unique. "My goal was to open a new universe to modern women, in which fragility and romanticism are harmoniously combined with independence and freedom."
At the end of 2006, he created his own company, called Juliette has a Gun. What was the creator’s idea? Imagine if Juliette’s story took place in our time. This time, the young and naive girl is armed. Her weapon is a gun, an allegory of seduction, which means a scent that “hits the mark”. The path of the modern Juliette is a road of brightness, courage and originality, individuality and femininity that is impossible to resist. Romano Ricci created his first two fragrances together with the famous master of perfumery Francis Kurkjian. All the rest – independently.
Romano prefers to call his works “episodes”. Each composition represents parts of Juliette’s life, growing up, as well as facets of her character.
